 Baroness Caroline Cox

Founder and CEO

Baroness (Caroline) Cox was created a Life Peer in 1982 for her contributions to education and has served as a Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords from 1985 to 2005. Lady Cox now sits in the Lords as a crossbencher and is a frequent contributor to Lords debates on Sudan, India, Nigeria, Uganda, and Burma.

As well as being the Chief Executive of HART (Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust) Lady Cox was Founder Chancellor of Bournemouth University, 1991-2001 and is now Chancellor of Liverpool Hope University and Vice President of the Royal College of Nursing. Additionally she was a non-executive director of the Siberian Medical University and a founder Trustee of MERLIN (Medical Emergency Relief International).

Walter & Elaine Young - founders and former directors of Team Fostering Independent Fostering Agency. Walter is developing a Social Work Cooperative and has his own consultancy. Elaine provides training in mindfulness with NHS Trusts and other organisations. Both Walter & Elaine continue to have direct input into SFAC work including the delivery of training

Andrew Williams MBE is formerley CEO of Retrak a UK registered charity working with street boys in Uganda and Ethiopia. They developed a reunification programme for the boys where considered appropriate plus the opportunity of fostering for other boys.  Andrew has changed career, now an registered actor having appeared in a number of stage plays in South of England. His 'claim to fame' is having a small speaking part in the film - The Last Kind of Scotland
